Actually, in terms of COD... the answer is clearly Yes. There is COD: WAW for the wii to prove it, and some who have reviewed multiple versions prefer the Wii due to the emersion of the controls. This is a matter of opinion, but for some gun type controls outweigh graphics, and obviously for some graphics are more important.
They are clearly comparable, as if it wasn't for the wii I would probably own a PS3... I am sure I am not the only one who picked Wii of the HD alternatives. (Only reason I say probably, is there is a slight chance it would be a 360 instead). I am happy with the Wii, and see little reason to get a 360 or PS3 now.
Just because the PS3 and 360 can not compete with the Wii is no reason not to compare them, unless you are saying they are better off compared to the PS2?
@aavidbacon:A niche market can not be a larger market... You could say the Wii is the larger market, and that the PS3 and 360 are now in the smaller niche HD console market...
