Once upon a time I was dumped. Up until that point I thought I could handle it, we could still be friends and he didn't mean too much to me. Then all of the sudden I was a damn mess. OOPS. I think that was a problem. I made mistakes that I couldn't fix and it didn't sit well with me. I have issues actually expressing my... feelings/affection. Which is why he dumped me. Its so lame, thats usually how a guy messes up, not a chick. So really, a lot of my distress was over how easily I could have avoided it.
