That's insightful. The Red Faction guys didn't talk about the possibility of using harddrive caching to their advantage, probably due to the Arcade 360 specifications lacking a harddrive they won't rely on this memory advantage.

No matter how efficient XDR is, it would not beat GDDR3 at 256 bit at the speed PS360 have. XDR has a bandwidth of around 25GB/s. If the PS360 had used their GDDR3 on 256 bit, it would be around 42GB/s. No efficiency can beat that difference.
And let's not talk about GDDR4 and GDDR5.
