Oh my god, here we go again...
Of course Wii is competing with PS3/360 just like DS is competing with PSP in the handheld market.
WII, PS3 and 360 are all videogameconsoles for homeuse.
They are all competing for custumers (believe it or not)
They are all competing for developers (you don´t think Sony and Microsoft would want Dragon Quest X and Monster Hunter 3 on their systems?)

They ARE competetors and they SHOULD be compared to each other.

Sorry about my rant here, I´m just so tired of hearing this argument. I´d guess that sony and microsoftfans would be happy comparing the three consoles saleswise if Wii lost the race.

Difference been if they were available PS360 would be capable of running them.

Now if gears or mgs4 to name 2 were made available Wii would not be able to run them.

I think you mean, the graphics would need to be made worse on the Wii versions and the controls would need to be made worse on the PS360 versions.  Surely you understand that games like CoD are done on the DS and MGS4 could have also been a PSP game.

Yes you are right. DS and PSP are also competing with the others as far as developers go. But they are portables and the point I was trying to make is that WII should be compared to PS3/360 since they are all consoles. I used the fact that WII has taken some pretty important titles (Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter) that traditionally would have gone to (most likely) Sony´s system that they are competetors. This shows two things in my opinion:

1. The three consoles are competing for developers and that WII is getting some traditional titles that used to be on Sony´s consoles and therefore Wii is going to be more than just a "casual console" (To me it´s not that even today but whatever....)

2. More traditional "hardcorefans" are most likely gonna invest in Wii in the future, making the differences between the customers of the three consoles more alike.
