I have friends on PS3 and Friends on 360, and it doesn't weigh on my decision for Multi-plat games.
You make friends online, and there are plenty of offline games that each console has that can sway the decision for the console. Like, if you like Uncharted, it doesn't matter what friends you want to play with since it's single-player. Same with Tales of Vesperia or any other single-player game.
A non-factor in PS2 - PS3 or PS2 - 360 owners.
It's just preference.
