Why are Metroid franchise sales so low? How can the franchise grow?

The series is very good as it is. That's why prime is the highest rated game on the gamecube. They just need to advertise the game more and continue down the path they are going with it. Add more things like CG cutscenes, better AI, and more weapon types.
