Blech! I'm so scared to watch it out of fear that I'm right and Tom Cruise plays a German with a perfect American accent. I can get past actors speaking in English when they play foreigners as a direction to appeal to more audiences but in an accent respresentative of their country, i.e. Slumdog Millionaire being in English with everyone having Indian accents.
Then again, I also disagree with Bryan Singer being a talented director, so maybe I'm just missing the appeal of an American sounding German.
