If its disconnecting you from PSN via DNS error, then it is likely a local problem. What is your signal strength/NAT type? Have you tried placing your PS3 in a DMZ? What country are you in? Are you in a dormitory that may have restrictions on port usage/bandwidth usage ?
Maybe you could give port forwarding a go, but it should be unnecessary if you had no problems before. I would still consider at least trying a wired connection to see if that is the problem or not. Unless it is a huge pain in the ass that is.
