Bah, we also had lots of "great makes" to speak of, but none of them really helped . . .

Did those games. besides MGS4, help the PS3 to close the gap against the X360 this year ?

Just because the 360 sold faster doesnt mean the ps3 sold poorly. You are trying to argue if the ps3 will reach 40 million or not instead of just trolling.

We are talking about sales, and my point since then is that "No matter which games came out, it is too late for the PS3 to overtake the X360", i m not just talking, i have two generations behind to stand for this affirmation.

"In the Gamecube's 4th year, it got Resident Evil 4 -- the best RE game ever -- the game so awesome the PS2 stole it from the Gamecube.

Anyway, "barely surviving" implies that it was close to dying.  Nintendo was never even remotely close to considering folding up shop.  They made their games, made nice profit, and plotted sweet revenge.  (If I was you I'd be typing maniacal laughter here.)"

Ah my beloved RE4 :'(, if i ever m going to buy a "HD System" it will be cause of RE5 :'(, ok, back to the topic, the game was great, but still the path for the GCN was already made, it got also Tales of Symphonia and some other games more, but it was very hard to change the mind perception of the market about the system: "Only buy it for Nintendo´s games", the 3rd party went away, the players went away and at the end it was only Nintendo supporing, the system at the end of its life as it happened with the N64.

And when i said "Barely surviving" i meant how alive the GCN was, it was not like "Nintendo is doomed" and all of those gifs i used to watch, but the system didnt make it, if i m no wrong, Nintendo eve made more profit than Sony in the last two generation so we all were sure there was going to be a next Ninty system.

OK, back to the PS3 treat, mmm i dont think seriously it will get 40 million by the end of the generation, which i bet is going to happen in the fall of 2010, in case we are talking about 2011, they may get there, but it would be very hard considering that it wont be Japan there(which only support one system and is now focused with the portable ones) and the USA area will still be a twinleadership with X360 for the HD and Wii for the mass market, PS3´s only remain would be Europe, but with the recession the global world is facing, not even a price drop would be able to equilibrate the weights, remember that the 3rd party also face recesion and they are going to priorize developments to the sucessful system.
