It is not who they are looking for, but what they are attempting to accomplish. From what I have read, the goal of the ground offensive is to target both the pads which Hamas uses to launch rockets into Israel and Hamas' infrastructure. Considering the statements by certain members of Hamas and the Israeli army and government, this is going to be a long conflict. In other words, there is not going to be an immediate cease-fire as most international bodies desire. Unfortunately, both Palestinian and Israeli civilians will continue to suffer.
