So approach your retailer, not Sony directly (Sony legally isn't liable for this, you didn't buy the console from them). Here in the Netherlands we have longer warranty, at least 3 years on the PS3. Some retailers may try to talk their way out of this, but then write a letter stating your consumer rights and point out they can't hide behind factory warranty. They will have to deal with this free of charge for you, including examination costs, repair and handling costs. |
