The arichitecture of the console doesn't really matter. Developping for the PS3 might be harder, it's still doable small developers for PSN games can do it and also all big developers. It's about userbase PS3 has the advantage if Microsoft and Nintendo start from scratch. 360 will definatly die if it's succesor has launched. Otherwise there is not many hope for microsoft to support 2 systems. They won't be able to release as many games as Sony can do with their 1st party developers.
I wonder how well the Wii will be doing when Ninendo has released it's succesor and PS3 is competing with motion-based games for the casual market.
