The ones i have bolded makes this soo wronge, not to mention the rest of your paragraphs. There is no logic in what you wrote. I suggest taking a step back and think about technology progression and how the ps3 would be in a corner in the event wii HD and the next xbox console comes out. Think logically not fanatacilly.

 

 

I am thinking logically. About the only improvement that is going to be made to the Wii with the Wii HD is the ability to play Wii games in HD. And at launch, the Nextbox is going to cost about $200.00 more than what the PS3 will cost at that time. That gives the PS3 about a two year window to gain marketshare and really show what it is capable of while most Microsoft first party exclusive money is being pumped into a much more expensive Nextbox (that will really take a couple of years to gain steam) and to be brought down to a price more acceptable to the casual market and the Wii is waiting for the next Mario and Zelda games to come along. Faddish games like Wii Sports 3 and Wii Fit 2 are going to lose their popularity while cinematic gaming is going to make a comeback over the next few years with most of its best games being PS3 exclusives or being available only on a much more expensive Nextbox and the market friendly priced PS3 or in a compressed form and five or six discs on the 360.

Wow a lot of assumptions here - you don't want to make 'umption' look bad as well do you?

With a launch date in 2012 the WiiHD can feasibly include a Blu-ray player(or other high capacity medium)/more RAM/faster GPU/more developer friendly general purpose CPU than the PS3 AND be $250 at launch.

Similarly the 'Nextbox' won't want to be priced $200 dearer than the WiiHD at launch.

And all this banks on the fact that Microsoft and Nintendo stop support of their consoles once the new gen starts and just let the PS3 become the cheapest console with the largest library of games.
