Personally, I suspect that many "Anti-Wii" gamers look are used to only having one or two people in a household who play videogames and may not be paying attention to the other family members ...
My brother bought a Wii soon after I did because his wife had played mine and really enjoyed it. Not that long after that, he bought himself a PS3 and lost interest in the Wii (outside of a few games that have been released). If someone was only watching his behavior around the Wii you would come to the conclusion that it was just "Gathering dust" ... The truth is that his wife buys more games than he ever did, and the Wii gets far more use as a gaming machine than the PS3 does (although the PS3 does get used a lot as a Blu-Ray player).
