No. That won't work IMO. Lots people want the new thing thats in and the PS3 won't be that in the 8th Gen. There going to need to do something new to have mainstream success. There`s no way that it will be the PS2 or wii of next gen. Plus if this was there whole idea then I`m sure nintendo would hold out on a new console. They would make an HD wii or something which could still be the cheapest console, and it would probably have the most support by then.
The bottom line is nintendo isn`t releasing anything new until the wii stops selling, and that probably wont happen until the competition releases something new.
I find it kind of ironic that you love this plan but yet your probably one of the people that`s supporting the PS3 now and putting down the wii for being underpowered.
Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.
