Traditionally if you won the Japanese market, you would win thw console race as 3rd parties flocked toward your console. However, as shown, Western developers have definately caught up, if not surpassed Japanese developers.
However, you are correct, that a snowball efect will happen now that this title has been announced. How big is yet to be seen. I do picture 2 or 3 more main series coming to the Nintendo. What they are is still unknown, but I think this E3 will show a huge 3rd party backing for the little white box.
Side Note:
I seriously cannot see how Square Enix would not put all its major titles such as KH3 directly to the Wii first and foremost or release it as a multi-plat.
The proof in the pudding was Final fantasy going to X360.
It's not about being a fan of a system, its about practical business sense.
