Jesus told his disciples to buy swords for self defense...Not to go to war, and butcher people. And when Peter hacked off Malchus' ear in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus told Peter he was clearly in the wrong for such an action 'Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.' - And then promply healed the Roman's ear. Furthermore, the NT contains no other record of Chrisitan-initated violence. Otherwise, you are right. Old Testament scripture contains historical logs of millions of death - some condoned by God. The Qu'ran is also the same way, as Mohammed himself (and any muslims correct me if I'm wrong) participated in military campaigns.
Now, for the OP - It's unfortunate that this is all going on, but when you have a terrorist faction fighting a Democracy, horrible things can happen - especially when said Democracy has one of the best air forces in the world.

I have said nothing that disagrees with what you said. The person who I was responding to said that Judaism, Islam, and Christianity don't allow killing, which is incorrect. Yes, each religion's reasoning for killing is different, but it doesn't change the fact that killing is permited under the proper circumstances.
It's also worth noting that the Tanach is also a part of the Christian Bible in the form of the Old Testament. And the so-called Old Testament does actually condone warfare if it is justified.
