Yeah that will be a great decision. Adding features is never bad if you do not make existing features worse with them. Nintendo didn't win this gen until now because their Wii is 10 times less powerful, it didn't win because its SD or because the Wii is so much inferior regarding media playback or networking.
It did win because it has had innovative controls that managed to capture the audience and a casual and kid-friendly software approach that is simply not rivalled by Microsoft or Sony. Microsoft didn't stand a chance of getting that market and Sony who had them last gen forfeited its chance with a 600$ price and no software to speak off for 10 months.
