no 1080p

What a joke, whats the point of it ?

Pay 2/3k for a giant tv then get some cheap ass player, makes no sense.

Way to carry the torch for those one percenters who rock 1080p HDTVs, Killzone. Martin Luther King would be proud of your devotion to their cause.

Every tv hitting stores now 1080p now, its the new standart.

Uh, actually, No. Try again. Walmart, for instance, has 15 LCD sets 37" or above. 5 are 1080p. That's 1/3. Further there are 6 screens in this size range under $1000. ZERO are 1080P capable. Guess where Joe Sixpack shops? Guess what he's likely going to buy? (hint: Not the expensive one)

I'd agree that Christmas 2008 will see the majority of sets 1080p capable but not this year by any stretch. I'd also add that 1080P is a relatively new phenomenon. It has really only been widely available this year at a fair price point. Guess what that means? A whole heap of HD sets have been sold over the last handful of years and no reasonable priced sets 1080P sets were available until recently...

You can wish it all you want but that doesn't make it so. I've got plenty of disposable income and I'm still waiting for prices to come down a bit. At this point I'm looking at a 37" or 42" LCD and will be buying 720P since they have dropped like a rock in price. Best wishes in the crow eating thread. :)

Yahh 15" to watch Br movies, does that make any sense.  Might as well stick with dvd on tiny tvs like that.
