Halo is a very successful franchise, why should WE, as gamers, want an extremely successful franchise to be "shown up", or "out done". Killzone 2 looks to possibly be my favorite shooter this year next to F.E.A.R. 2. However,I wouldn't want either of them to be Halo killers because I like the evolution of franchises, not the destruction of franchises and even though Killzone 2 may visually look better than Halo, and that's all opinion, I'd never want the game to kill Halo. Games like Halo, Mario, Gran Turismo, Gears, Final Fantasy, Zelda etc, etc keep the market alive. They keep the consumer truly ecstatic for inevitable sequels...so I ask again: why would we want there to be a "Halo killer"? My answer: who cares, Halo speaks for itself. A franchise that sells 8-9mill copies aint going anywhere, and that is a good thing! |
That was trully and incredible post. Intelligant, well though out. Bravo, Bravo
