Yeah, I get the whole relative thing, I just don't think I need to move slower than most games with regular human characters :(
The vehicles are too slow at that point ><
Not to hype up another game, because I'm not really here for that, but warhawk. You start on one end of the map, and start running, you'll end up on the other side in a good 7-10 minutes o.O; the maps are enormous. But you hop in a warhawk, and hit your turbos, you can get there in less than 30 seconds. It feels so fast, you feel like your in control of something seriously awesome :P Halo just feels so "mellowed down" for all ages :/ I mean I understand why it is, it's one of the contributing reason's it's so popular. It needs to be playable, and fun, for all ages and groups. But to me, that's what makes it so boring. There's nothing to really pick up on, nothing to really master. Aside from regular FPS stuff :x Head shot's with snipers, etc etc etc. It's entirely too generic for my tastes, and I would personally HATE if Killzone aspired for that.

Well, only Halo's standard settings can, by any stretch of the imagination, be called generic. Don't like the settings? You can make a new game setting and up the move speed. Via the forge you can change the game to be far more versatile than most any FPS out there.

Farcry 2 says hello! in regards to your "far more versatile than most any FPS out here". And as far as game modes, Gears 2 would like to have a word with you.

your Far Cry 2 point is alright but your Gears 2 modes comparison is terrible. Halo has litteraly over 40 different modes and playlists. In fact even without changing anything on maps there is probably about 50 or 60 game modes. Gears 2 has like 10 or less i think?
