Doesn't everyone have both these days - surely everyone has a PC by now?
So use that for strategy games & such & the consoles (with the 360 now around £100 & the Wii at £160 (in the UK at least) you can get more than one!) for the other stuff!
On the price issue, it certainly used to be that console games were seriously more expensive than their PC brethren, but this last Christmas has seen many top console titles going for under £20 (Resistance 2, Tomb Raider Underworld, Far Cry 2, Motorstorm 2 to name but a few) and with a pretty good back catalogue 360 titles can be picked up for that as an RRP!)
I do like the openness of PC games, with the possibility of user contributed content but even that is being addressed (certainly on the PS3 with Little Big Planet, Unreal Tournament III & Far Cry 2 - with some great new levels!). Hopefully Microsoft will loosen the leash a little on the 360 or it could find itself in a losing position in the long term (what with charging for online play too!)
Seems like I've brought up a whole other set of issues rather than the which is best, oh well, start of a new year and all that...
