Most games from any genre/sub-genre gets overshadowed. What I'm stricly talking about is the quality of the games, nothing else (I don't even know why you brought up sales).
But I don't think they'll flop because Strategy games are one of the cheapest genres to develop for (and most being made on PC is another plus for cheapness).
