Consoles are better for sheer quantity and cost effectiveness, but PCs double as workstations along with entertainment devices. If you need a new computer anyway, build one for gaming. Otherwise, the upgrades every year or two start to really add up. Crysis is awesome, though. I mean...if you're willing to shell out a grand on GPUs alone to get it at a stable 40-60fps.
