I have to say I used to think the Halo games were only so-so, but after a year of playing Halo 2 at work for lunch, I think the multiplayer really stands up well. It may not be as amazing as everybody says, but those games have a lot of smart design choices. Little things like how having only two weapons forces you to try and find good combos that work at a wide range of distances.
I lol'd at the first Halo 3 pic - that guy looks so dumb. After that it kind of fell apart.
