Ok I understand your point.. but we are talking about videogames ... not a piece of art I'm also a pc FPS user but this has nothing to do here. I'm also more into the style of Killzone 2 than Halo (...) but the fact remains: Halo 3 is the most successful (most played / most sold) fps of this console generation. Arguing about quality is a question of personal opinion ...

I agree in full that arguing quality is a question of personal taste ^^ But to me, Halo 3 is just too much on the generic side to fit any sort of personal greatness. It covers the basics well enough, but doesn't really define it'self as unique to me. It takes too many safe moves and just ultimately feels lacking, I like the bold adventurous differences that make games, I enjoy using that uniqueness to define the experience, and Halo is a series that doesn't really go down that road :P Not to say it's a bad game, just... Sci-fi version of shooter #2341239723492734. Good game, not great. But greatness to me shouldn't be achieved through average, it has to be defined ^^
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
