Remember, what (hard/snob)core gamers hate about the Wii is what others like about it.
Quite frankly, I don't see Nintendo putting a DVD player in the Wii because that format may be passe by that point.
Everyone keeps pointing to what the Wii is missing. No one realizes what it has.
My guess is that Nintendo will put out an HD-capable BC console in 2012 ... about the same time as the others. No one is going to be in a hurry in this global economic climate.
