Please tell me you did not just attempt to use that claim? That is the lowest form of prejudice commonly used by a disgruntle fanboy. I am going to take that as a joke and not hold it against you, for its not even true. MGS4 doesnt have nearly as many cutscenes as most RPGs today, and lasts about twice as long if played at a pace. I compare MGS4 to RPGs becuase they both emphasize story and cinamatics. No one complains about the mounds of text in those games but its a problem here? I dont hear people complaining about Fable 2. That is because There is so much stuff to do in that game it would make your head spin. Same goes for MGS4, in actuallity MGS4 out matches Fable in pure stuff to do. There are multiple paths to every mission, sights to see that Kojima has hidden within the game, badges to collect, online play that is phenomenal. The game outshines anything else on the market right now, best believe it. And as someone pointed out earlier, sales doesn't always equal quality....

I guess you missed the part where MGS4 isn't supposed to be an RPG. It's a shooter. One with cutscenes that run up to 90 minutes for ONE cut scene. That's longer than most movies these days. Much longer than any RPG cut scene. The point is, RPG players go into the game expecting the cut scenes. Shooter fans, even MGS fans, were not expecting that much cinema attention. Thus why it got some bad rep from reviewers.
