Blu-ray is pretty much the only real advantage the PS3 has left. Why the hell would Sony throw that away? A lot of people pick up the PS3 because getting a Blu-ray player with your console is an incentive to them.
To put another way, why wouldn't a potential customer shrug and pick up the 360 without a hard drive instead of the PS3 without an optical drive?
