Well, to be honest, after playing Resistance 2, playing Resistance: Fall of Man isn't that bad.
I downloaded the demo when I rented a PS3 before (for Metal Gear Solid 4, what else?), and I thought it was horrible. The parts showned in the demo are too hard to even try the secondary function of each guns (or just playing with the controls).
Though, having played through Resistance 2 twice already, you just "know" what to do. I finally finished the demo yesterday, and I'll give the game a chance and go rent it in a few days (after I finish Ratchet & Clank, hehe).

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
