The demo only gives you a taste of the combat, and ignores most of the platforming and puzzles. The demo also doesn't give you near enough time to get a good grasp on just how versatile the combat can be. Most importantly, is doesn't allow you to grow attached to the great cast of characters. xD
I thought the demo was decent, but ended up absolutely loving the full game.
