So you think an informed father would rather pick MGS4 to play with his son than Mario Kart? Think again.

As a father of a video gaming daughter all I can say is, "Game over!"
But seriously, my daughter and I can play No More Heroes or Mario Kart together. It is not like it matters so long as she enjoys it. I think an informed parent will buy what is best for the situation. I enjoy playing Mario Kart and I enjoy playing Bioshock with my daughter. It is just that she enjoys Mario Kart a lot more. To not buy Mario Kart or even, say, Carnival games for example, would only hurt my chances of having games I can enjoy with my daughter and also limits her exposure to games. I am not ashamed of buying Cars: Mater-National for her just as I am not ashamed to buy Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (again example but this time of games I own) for her either. To say she will/should/would only enjoy Mortal Kombat or say, Bioshock instead of Cars is insane.
An informed person buys games that they know will get played and enjoyed. A biased gamer will buy only games that they think cater to themself but should cater to everyone else. An informed but biased gamer would know what I just stated in thee above paragraph is true, but still not understand Wii success.
