At that point, Sony alluded that they may also reduce the price of the $599 80GB PS3 to $499 as many analyst expect.
Common sense says that's what they'll do, but when did they ever "allude" to anything like that? Doesn't sound like something they'd say at all, although it might have quelled some of the "clearance sale" hysterics on boards like these.
