I'm not saying it makes the game less enjoyable, just dulls the excitement of "Oh I bought a game and will go home and immediately play it!"
Also, most of the PS3 games I've played had much longer installs than 3 minutes. MGS4 had a 30 minute install, plus all those small 2 minute installs. I am not saying it is "Hard" to launch, just a bit more of a hassle than a 360 or Wii game.
