I dunno why people still think the 360 is cheaper.
I replaced my RRoD Xenon with a new Jasper recently...
If my purchase had been a new one:
$200, console
$100, 60 GB HDD
$100, wireless adaptor
$15 rechargable controller pack + cord
--------------
$415, unless you want to pump your controller with AA batteries constantly ($15 recharge kit is a steal compared to the AAs)
...pretty sure that's more than the price of a 80GB PS3, and with the PS3, you get a "free" Blu-Ray player, after you consider XBox 360's price. A HDD and wireless adapter are pretty freaking commonplace purchases -- I cannot imagine a serious 360 owner without a HDD (that would suck... no serious number of savegames, no demos, no HDD installs), and not many people care to install wired networking in their homes these days.
