I believe you should remeber certain things. First I said this was about my reactions and choices not a sales pitch. If competition, scoring and trophies were any sort of priority with me, that would have had an impact on my choice. Personally I don't give a rat's patooty about playing competitively. I've won enough recognition in life I'm not out to stroke my ego, just to have fun.

To me this type of game has nothing to offer than the excitement of the experience. OkeyDokey can poke fun at me all she wants but basically yes, I'm aimiing my zapper and charging on like John Wayne in The Sands of Iwo Jima. One of the few benefits of growing old is you finally get over taking yourself so damn seriously that you can finally just play for fun, like you did when you were a child. I've got nothing to prove to anybody.

If online cutthroat competition is your thing, then choose accordingly.

In a different type of game, like a RTS, my criteria would be different because that is a manipulative not an immersive experience, at least to me.

And  no, I'm not mixed up. Being big time into high resolution imaging doesn't mean that it runs my whole life. I just got through playing a nice round of Call of Duty ( or look at silly me acting like a soldier as OkeyDokey would call it) and opened up Photoshop and went back to putting the finising touches on a night shot of the Ravenel bridge that I'll be printing as a 44" x 58" print tommorow. You can call it confused if you wish. I call it balance.
