I think it was more that he "Thought" he was a graphics whore. But in reality he was actualy a realistic/immersion whore. But because of the way gaming has been and was going the only way to become more immersed into the game was with the improved graphics.
Well also improved AI/Physics and all that other junk, but those pretty much went hand in hand with graphics. i can't think of really a good ai/physics game that didn't have good graphics, so correct me if wrong. So he really was just a lost and confused soul. He thought he was a graphics whore, but was just confused, lol.
