Sony - Is the PSP dying? - View Post

As someone who has been into console hacking since the late 1990's, I can say with great certainty that it's far easier to hack a DS than it is a PSP.

The only exception to this is PSP's that were released prior to the middle of 2005 and ran the v1.5 firmware, in which case it was capable to run unsigned code right from the start.

As it stands right now, hacking of a PSP requires a person to hardmod a battery, format a MSPd, and install and configure software. Modding a DS, on the other hand, only requires that a person buy a flash cart(which is available via Amazon, and even if it weren't, I doubt that anyone who wanted to hack their console would have any trouble whatsoever finding one from another website) and be competent enough to use the "copy and paste" function.
