Why do PS3s sell?

Narfer said: i have a friend in school, hes a sony fanboy, argued in favor of the PSP over DS and PS3 over wii until he finally got each of them. now, he openly admits to being a fanboy, says he will buy whatever sony product comes out in the future, but, for now, prefers the wii over the PS3 and DS over the PSP completely. all he talks about is getting a wii in the future, while his neglected PS3 sits at home collecting dust. guess what his background for his PSP is? a pic of a wii. no joke. i did not just make this person up. he truly exists just as i told of him. so yes, it is most all about brandname.

sounds like a friend i have. except he's a sony fanboy and will buy any game console sony comes out with but after getting the ps3 and playing it, he returned it and is now instead playing his friend's nintendo wii. reason why he returned is 1) he didnt see the innovation in gameplay instead of better graphics, and 2) he doesn't use blueray. he'll probably wait for some games he wants to get released first before he considers buying the ps3 again.
