Seagate is good but maybe 5400rpm is better. Mine is 250gig SATA at 5400rpm and works perfectly.
Some advice though:
before you change the hardrive call sony and ask them to send you an HDD case (whatever its called). That way you could just remove the old one and not have to worry about the very hard to remove screws.
