While the TV does matter, you have to have the player set up correctly and be using the correct cables. If you don't notice much of a difference between DVD and BD than one of those is not correct. That or you really do need some glasses........or not, DVD is cheaper anyway, maybe its just best for you to stay with DVD. You may as well get a Wii too, cause with that vision it should look just as good as a 360 or PS3.
