It seems your favorite game types includes RPGs and Shooters. You can do some research on what's good score wise on metacritics.com or gamerankings.com. But here's are some of the things are I heard people really like on the 360.
360 Hybrid: Action Adventure, RPG, Shooter, Sandbox
- Grand Theft Auto IV (also on PC, however big exclusive download episodes are only on 360)
- Prince of Persia (the most visually striking of the series, reviewers knocked this for low difficulty that catter more toward the casual gaming crowd, but don't let this discourage you)
- Crack Down (by the team head by one of the creators of the GTA series)
- Dead Rising (A surprise hit by Capcom, something different and fun)
- Fall Out 3 (you already have this on PC, download episodes are coming to 360 only)
- Assasin Creed (featuring a cool female producer, this really is an awesome looking game, sells more than 4millions on 360 alone, but love it or hate it gameplay)
- Devil May Cry 4 (more Capcom goodness)
- Saint Row 1 & 2 (A good alternative to GTAIV)
360 RPGs
- Oblivion (also on PC)
- Mass Effect (also on PC)
- Lost Odyssey (from the creator of Final Fantasy series )
- Fable II (Peter Molyneux's team pour their heart and soul into this)
- Tales of Vesperia
360 Shooters
- Halo 3 (~ 9 millions sold. There are at least a few millions people happy with their purchase in this pool)
- Gears 1 & 2 (You are getting this any way)
- Far Cry 2 (Breath taking open world graphics that far surpasses Far Cry 1)
- Call of Duty 4 (Regarded by many as the best shooter ever made, single player a little on the short side, also on PC)
- Left 4 Dead (the surprise hit by Valve)
- Bioshock (also on PC, people can't wait for Bio2 to come out. Hopefully the sequel won't take 4 years like the original )
- The Tom Clancy Series (UBI Soft know how to make great shooters and this is their bread and butter franchise)
- Lost Planet (one of the first Capcom shooter for the 360)
360 Live Arcade
