They're funny after a couple of years:
"Nintendo has created it's last console"
Pros: It would make a nice paper weight
Cons: Where are the demos? The innovations? Where's the Revolution?
Summary: Nintendo is trying to find its nitch in an industry it help create. I feel for Nintendo, it's playing catch up again with it's so called "revolution". One question, where's the revolution in this console? Is it the controller? Guess not because no controller has been shown or mention. So it's the games, nope because they're just re-releasing games that have appeared in all of it's previous systems. So is it the fact that you can download old games? That's not really revolutionary because that's backwards capability which was first done by the PS2 in 2000 with games from the PS1. Besides you can download games now from the internet for free from any old console. No revolution is to be found here.
Rather than try to compete with X-Box 360 or PS3, Nintendo has chosen to be nastalgic and re-live it's former glory days when it ruled. I'm not a hater, I own a GameCube and a Game Boy SP, I owned a SNES, I know Nintendo. Their days are numbered, PS3 and X-Box will be the consoles flying off the shelves, the revolution is a De-Evolution in gaming. I'd much rather pay the extra $$$ for a PS3 or an X-Box 360. R.I.P. Nintendo, stick to handhelds.
Personally I'm a little dispointed. It looks like a T.V. remote control with an analog stick attached by a cord. My score remains the same. The Nintendo fans are saying that the control will make the system. This is simply not going to happen. Controllers don't make a difference, if they could make or break a system then there wouldn't be an X-Box. The original controller was uncomfortable and clumbsy. Nintendo GameCube had the best controller but the system still sucked. (Check out my review for GameCube for full details). The Revolution was betting on the controller, now that the controller has been over hyped and disapointing Nintendo has nothing left. While the PS3 and 360 will dominate, Nintendo will be contemplating bankruptcy. R.I.P Nintendo
