hmm im still on my first xbox (2005 one) no problems at all except freeze up once or twice on oblivion

The failure rate of XBox 360 is not 100%.

Let's assume the rumoured failure rate of over 30% per year is correct, that would mean a minority of XBox 360 users owning their console for a year would have experienced a hardware failure, however after owning the console 2 years a majority of consoles would have suffered a hardware failure. Right now it's not possible that you own the console for over 2 years as the XBox 360 wasn't yet available.

However usually problems with electronics gets worse in course of time.

how was it not yet available? i got it 2005 christmas year, and yes i have had it Almost (does that make you happy?) two years. Im not a retard like half the people who have experienced the hardware failure, i know to give my xbox breaks, i know how to keep it cool, and thats all it takes for a majority because many are placing the blame on overheating.

NOt only are you bringing down the xbox down as far as you can take it, you take down the fans as well, because we are in "denial" Im not in denial of anything it has a very high malfunction rate, and at this point i could give a danm, im enjoying my xbox games more then any ps3 games that could possibly come out this holiday season and wii is the only one that can say they match or (possibly =P) beat the lineup.

If it malfunctions, o shit ill send it in for a few weeks and get it fixed

Im only pissed because you declared us fans in denial, but your right im still in denial that im in denial so what am i saying

The sad thing is you should have to "give it breaks" or "keep it cool" it's a game console, it's supposed to be idiot proof.  They are selling it to people who don't know the difference between HD and SD, it is Mass Market and it is their responsiblity to make a good product.  You don't give a damn until it dies.  I didn't.  The games are great though and I miss it. (Mine broke before the Warranty extensions, and I refused to pay to fix a 4-5 month old console.)

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
