Stupid question but..
If you're playing on a HDTV do you have an incorrect view mode set?
The reason I ask is because I was playing my 360 at the house and one of my friends commented that my dashboard looked bigger to him. Apparently he was playing with a zoom mode on his TV that cut off the top and bottom of the screen.
I've never heard of anything game specific like that before... Maybe check the game settings and if all else fails check the official forums.
