The guess is that playing up that point overheats the GPU and when you hit the massive load of the particular level/transition the GPU locks up.  The next game I'm getting for my 360 is Mass Effect, I really couldn't care less about Halo 3.    I would really rather not RRoD my 360 on purpose since I use it as my DVD player and I don't want to dig my old one out of whatever box I put it in.  >_>

 

Ahhh, well most 360 owners seem to be interested in Halo 3.  I'm sure you can understand they don't won't it dying on them in the middle of Halo 3.  I guess I could mention the towel trick, water dipping (can't believe someone actually did that), DIY heatsinks and other warranty voiding ideas but I don't want to upset Legend11 anymore with my "FUD" from 360 owners.
