There was no pre-made gun before, so why would there have been a pre-made trigger for gun shots? lol
If you wanted to make a gun you could also make the trigger. That's if you cared enough. Most people and I didn't so we got them pre-made. But if you want to make something you can even share it with people. I've seen many tanks, bosses, enemies, etc. shared with people through prizes for beating their levels. If you want to make an even better gun with an entirely new trigger, go for it, you can. And share it to boot.
MM gave you tools to make it yourself. That's still on the table. You can buy it, create it yourself, or just pout because you don't want it either way.
