That probably comes as a surprise to people here who know me but let me explain:
I got my son a Wii for his birthday which coincidentially coinsided with Wii's launch (luck @#%!). I have never had any interest in any of his previous systems (N64, GC, PS2) but the thought of playing Tiger Woods on Wii intrigued me enough it prompted me to buy my first console game in 20 years. Loved it and now have a collection of 13 Wii games.
However my son, 17, is at that age where he wants lots of gratuitous violence which the Wii is in short supply of so he's been begging for a 360 (or PS3) for some time. Eventually he started contemplating selling his Wii for it. Well, that would just suck for me, so I found out what the trade-in rate for a Wii is and used that money plus Christmas funds to get him a 360 Pro.
So now, for the first time since my Colecovision, I own a game console! Quite happy about that. Love my Wii.
I also have access to a 360 now too. Don't care about 90% of the games on 360. Don't have time to play the other 10% either (barely have time to play the games I have...) but still... Fallout 3... tempting. But since there's 4 Wii games I want now and another 10 in the spring I doubt the 360 will see any love from me anytime soon.
