What if on 1st January 2009 Sony announces that the PS3 is getting a $200 price cut and will be $199 from 2nd January? Sales would skyrocket! Oh, and it has to keep all of its features intact (HDD, Cell, Blu-ray, etc.)

If the price cut happens and the demand really goes up, the production for PS3 would need to jump from 12 mil a year to 22-25 mil a year... highly unlikely unless Sony already got all the production line ready
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
