Since the euro is stronger and PS3 sales are higher in Europe, cutting prices in euros actually hurts them more than cutting the prices in dollar. Psychologically it may be easier to justify, but financially it doesn't make sense.

 

Well, since they are making a profit on consoles sold in Europe according to the iSuppli data from yesterday, the hit won't be that big. I guess it might be a case where if you are losing money anyway then you might as well lose as much as you can and save the profits for later (game sales).
